What are the differences between the M4 and MP7?

Sigh, well the MP7 is a personal defence weapon. It is not an effective killer, however it will go through body armor because the round it uses it also is not accurate at anything past 70 meters. The M4 is a rifle designed to be employed in combat operation to kill enemies from medium to long range and it shoots the 5.56x45 rifle round.
