Isn't the liberal and conservative label stupid?

We'll, the liberal and conservative is a great label. Its a general blanket. However, what I do not like is the democrat vs republican. I identify as a conservative (very moderate conservative, but conservative nonetheless). I refuse to call myself a republican. Republican/Democrat is a talking head issue, not a realistic issue. Do what is best for the country, weigh each issue separately and not based on what a party tells you to think.
